Flipside – LEISURE
Five-member band, LEISURE, can’t seem to put out a bad song. Every song they release is a funky jam with its own unique identity. Their most recent release, “Flipside,” is just that with its laid back beat, funky bass line, and wavy synths.
Summer Rain – Majid Jordan
R&B duo, Majid Jordan, have a style that reminds us of being at the beach on a summer night. Majid’s newest track from their forthcoming album is a 80s feeling jam that is a similar style to The Weeknd’s most recent album. “Summer Rain” will let you live out a bit more of summer before it comes to a close.
Rollercoaster – Love Regenerator, Solardo, & Calvin Harris
Calvin Harris’ newest project, Love Regenerator, has allowed him to flex his classic house muscles and depart from the more pop oriented electronic music he got so famous from. On his new track, “Rollercoaster,” Calvin teams up with producer/DJ, Solardo, to put their 2021 twist on the classic 70s song “Love Rollercoaster” by the Ohio Players.
Found – Tems (ft. Brent Faiyaz)
Nigerian Singer, Tems, has been making waves lately working with artists like Drake, Justin Bieber, and WizKid. This week she released her newest EP If Orange Was A Place and it is awesome. Our favorite track from the EP features R&B artist Brent Faiyaz and features some nice guitar and soothing vocals.
Love You Like That – Cloonee
Cloonee is on the rise in the house world, with a handful of huge releases that are played in clubs around the world. “Love You Like That” is a long awaited mix of his, with his classic hard and chunky bass, and a vocal sample that we all know and love!
Cool Girl (Nora En Pure Remix) – Tove Lo
We know and love Nora En Pure for her deep and melodic house tunes that take you on a journey, but today’s release is a bit different in a great way. We’ve all heard the original “Cool Girl” at this point and Nora put a super fun house twist on it, bringing in her elongated bass and melodic synths while keeping the sass that we love from the original. Give this one a listen on a drive or bike ride!
Album MONTERO – Lil Nas X
The young legend, Lil Nas X, has released his long-awaited album MONTERO and it is wonderful. Having already heard a few songs from the album, we were excited to see all the new tracks with artists like Jack Harlow, Megan Thee Stallion, Doja Cat, Elton John, & more. Some of our favorite songs are “THATS WHAT I WANT,” “SCOOP,” & “DOLLA SIGN SLIME.”
Album What We Call Life – Jordan Rakei
Singer/songwriter/producer, Jordan Rakei, has released his fourth studio album via Ninja Tune and it is beautiful. With his raw vocals, impressive songwriting, and a really awesome style, Jordan Rakei continues to craft emotional and vibey songs. Some of our favorites are “Family,” “Send My Love,” & “Illusion.”
Album Local Valley – José González
Swedish singer/songwriter Jose Gonzalez has been releasing music in the US since around 2005, and has since put out loads of tracks varying from indie pop to mellow acoustic grooves. Local Valley is his latest masterpiece of tracks, weaved together with a common theme of raw-feeling guitar riffs and vocals that are frankly outright beautiful! Some of our favorites are “El Invento,” “Head On,” & “Swing.”
