Read all the way through or make your way to the bottom for the full Spotify playlist of our Friday discoveries.

Passion – Roosevelt (ft. Niles Rodgers)
Building off the massive success of his 2021 album, Polydans, producer/musician Roosevelt is showing no signs of slowing down. On his newest single, “Passion,” Roosevelt teams up with legendary guitarist, producer, and Chic frontman, Nile Rodgers, for a funky tune that feels like the perfect blend of Roosevelt’s modern sound and Nile’s classic chucking and funk sounds.

Dope – John Legend (ft. JID)
John Legend is back with a brand new track that’s funky and feel-good featuring one of our favorite modern rappers, JID. On “Dope,” we get John’s classic crooning vocals atop a groovy beat with some bumping drums and keys. With the happy feel and awesome vocals, this one will definitely be on the playlists as we move into summertime.

Demons – Deeper Purpose
House DJ/Producer, Deeper Purpose has been making waves in the tech house scene since he started releasing music back in 2017. Having already been played out on stages all over the world, Deeper Purpose’s “Demons,” is a dance floor banger leading to its release on Fisher’s label Catch & Release. Check it out and catch it on a dance floor near you sometime soon.

A Moment Of Mystery – FKJ (ft. Toro y Moi)
Two of our very favorite modern artists, FKJ & Toro y Moi have teamed up for a new track that will put you in a real relaxed mode. The new song, “A Moment Of Mystery,” features Toro’s classic laid back vocals that sink into your ears soothingly and FKJ’s nice hip hop style beats and musicality.

Can’t Get You out of My Head (Peggy Gou’s Midnight Remix) – Kylie Minogue
Talk about a revival of a classic! Peggy Goi comes through with a groovy new edit of Kylie Minogue’s early 2000’s club hit. Peggy adds her funky and chic style to this track that gives it a modern tube up but still has the elements we love from the original. Peggy Gou has been blowing up since her 2019 hit “Starry Night.” We look forward to hearing more great music from the South Korean All star DJ!

Where’s Your Head At (Martin Ikin Remix) – Basement Jaxx
We love the unique style of clubby house that has been coming from Martin Ikin over the years, from “Hooked” to his latest remix of “Where’s Your Head At.” This one is a recognizable and high-energy remix that is guaranteed to shake the dance floor or get you through a tough workout.

No Bueno – Sosa UK
It is always the best feeling when you see the big time DJ’s playing an unknown track across the globe and then finally getting your hands on it! Sosa has been behind some huge tunes in the house scene over the years and “No Bueno” follows suit with his club-ready house sound.

Waterfall (Todd Edwards Remix) – Disclosure (ft. RAYE)
Damn near everything that Disclosure turns to gold in our eyes and we feel no guilt over it! The British duo had been behind some of the mainstreams biggest collaborations as well as many anthems in the house scene and are well respected in both worlds. Todd Edwards’ remix of their latest release, “Waterfall,” is dancy, light, and carries the summertime vibes that we all know and love!

Like I Do (Kevin McKay Remix) – CASSIMM
We love some funky house around here and Kevin McKay is always serving the punchiest funky house in the game, from poolside grooves to funky club thumpers. His remix of “Like I Do” is on the clubbier side in all the best ways!

Album Harry’s House – Harry Styles
Coming off of a successful Coachella headlining run, Harry Styles has released his newest album Harry’s House to follow up from his massive 2019 album Fine Line. Since “As It Was” already blew up on TikTok and in the world, we were excited to hear the rest of Harry’s newest project. Some of our favorite songs from it include “Late Night Talking,” “As It Was,” and “Matilda.”

Album Palaces – Flume
Also coming off of big Coachella performances, experimental producer, Flume, has released his third studio album, Palaces. On the new album, Flume continues his streak of experimental sounds and syncopated beats while also bringing in a lot of the songwriting and emotions that we’ve grown to love. Some of our favoirte tracks from it include “Highest Building (ft. Oklou),” “Say Nothing (ft. MAY-A),” & “Hollow (ft. Emma Louise).”
