IP’s New Music Friday – April 1st, 2022

Welcome to an awesome week of Infinite Purple’s New Music Friday recap where we listen through this week’s released tracks to bring you the songs that stand out!

Read all the way through or make your way to the bottom for the full Spotify playlist of our Friday discoveries.

Noisy Mind – Magsy
Our boy Magsy has released the first single of his new era as we lead up to the highly anticipated Brite Nite project. The new track, “Noisy Mind,” is an absolute gem and our favorite release from the budding artist thus far. With a laid back beat, some euphoric guitar riffing, and Magsy’s incredible vocals & songwriting, this one should definitely be on all your playlists as we move closer to the summertime.

Déjà Vu – Toro y Moi
The newest release from Toro y Moi’s upcoming MAHAL album proves even more how unique and special this project is. Toro’s seventh studio album is shaping up to be experimental and rocking in a way we haven’t seen before. On “Déjà Vu,” we get the classic Chaz vocals, a feel good beat, and some heavy guitar shredding to cap off a really great song.

Time To Party – Nosha
Our very own Nosha that we all know and love is back again! The man is serving up another super fun house release that’s fate is most definitely the club dance floor. “Time To Party” is his best yet, with an ultra-catchy vocal that reels you in right from the start and a bassline that gets you on your feet and ready to groove. Excitement is continuing to grow around Nosha’s releases and we cannot wait to hear what else he blesses our ears with this year!

Lavender & Red Roses – Ibeyi & Jorja Smith
Twin sister musical duo, Ibeyi, has teamed up with one of our favorite R&B stars, Jorja Smith, to craft a strong, vibey track. On “Lavender & Red Roses,” the French Cuban duo lay down some really beautiful vocals alongside Jorja with plenty of background vocals to conjure up a real good feeling.

All You Need – Kyle Walker
Back again with another upbeat club tune, Kyle Watson delivers us “All You Need” which is all we needed to get our feet moving! Ever since some of his ear candy-full tech house releases such as “Midnight Dancer” and “Them Drums” we’ve been tuned in to Watson and he has yet to leave us disappointed.

Superimposition – Felipe Gordon
Based in Colombia, producer Felipe Gordon is back with an easy-listening house tune that is perfect for amping up a nice drive or getting you through the last few hours that your stuck at the desk. Always chill but with a substantial beat, Gordon never disappoints.

Album Unlimited Love – Red Hot Chili Peppers
Legendary rock band, Red Hot Chili Peppers, have released their first album in six years with Unlimited Love after receiving a star on Hollywood Blvd this week. The new album proves that although they may be getting older and been away from making RHCP music, they are still just as good as ever. Some of our favorite tracks are “Not the One,” “Poster Child,” & “Whatchu Thinkin’.”

Remix EP I Go (Remixes) – Peggy Gou
Korean house music superstar, Peggy Gou, has put out three remixes of her recent single “I Go.” It’s rare to see all three remixes made by musical legends and dance-floor stars. With remixes by Soulwax, DJ Koze, & Maurice Fulton, you’re sure to like at least one of them.
