IP’s New Music Friday – March 18th, 2022

Welcome to a fun week of Infinite Purple’s New Music Friday recap where we listen through this week’s released tracks to bring you the songs that stand out!

CYBAH – Syd (ft. Lucky Daye)
The lovely Syd, who you may know from her group The Internet or her time with Odd Future, continues to prove how truly incredible of an artist she is. On her new song, “CYBAH,” she teams up with R&B superstar Lucky Daye to craft a laid back track that puts their beautiful vocals front and center. With their combined ability to create and develop melodies and vocalizations, the duo put together a track definitely stands out as another success from Syd.

Iced Tea – Joyce Wrice & KAYTRANADA
One of our favorite DJ/producers, Kaytranada, is back with another groovy banger with LA-born and bred rising star Joyce Wrice. This song has the classic Kaytanda sound with a nice Afro beat that seems to go effortlessly with Joyce’s vocals. “Iced Tea” doesn’t miss a beat especially with its catchy chorus that won’t take you long to memorizing and sing along.

Pool – Still Woozy & Remi Wolf
Two indie pop stars who are catapulting to success in the music industry, Still Woozy & Remi Wolf, team up for a new track that combines the skills of both artists. In the new single, “Pool,” we get Remi’s unique and colorful vocal skills laid on top of Still Woozy’s incredible knack for indie rock melodies and production (plus his soft vocals as well.) As these two are friends in the biz, we’re hoping for more collabs between the two rising stars.

Perfect – Sonny Fodera & Biscits
House legend, Sonny Fodera, and tech house rising stars, Biscits, are here with a new single that will get you pumping on the dancefloor. With a driving bass line and some fun vocals, “Perfect,” is a great track to put on your dance playlist or put in your next set.

Album Club Azur – Kungs
French house & disco producer, Kungs, has released his sophomore album 6 years after the release of his first album, Layers. Having already heard and loved his songs “Lipstick,” & “Regarde-moi,” we were really excited for the full album and it definitely delivered. With songs featuring artists like Boysnoize & The Knocks, this album has a unique sound that has grown out of young artist Kungs. Some of our favorite tracks are “Fashion,” “Quanto Tempo,” & “People.”

Album MOTOMAMI – ROSALÍA
Latin superstar, ROSALÍA, has put out her third full-length album titled MOTOMAMI. On the album, she puts her beautiful voice and phenomenal vocal skills on display putting together a really amazing musical journey. Some of our favorites songs from it are “LA FAMA (ft. The Weeknd),” “CANDY,” & “HENTAI.”
