Purple Sun – Cannons
Electro-pop trio, Cannons, has quickly risen the musical ranks releasing sun soaked songs that put you in the perfect head space. After hits like “Fire For You,” & “Bad Dream,” we were stoked to see the band rising to stardom and being added to lineups all around the world. Their new song “Purple Sun,” has a reggae feel with a bouncing beat and the singers’ dreamy vocals.
Worry ‘Bout – Nosha
Our very own Nosha is here with his debut release, coming in hot with a bouncy tech house track, “Worry ‘Bout.” This one is the first of many upcoming releases from Nosha and it is every bit as clubby and fun as it is mysterious and hypnotic. With a punching beat and thumping bassline this track is guaranteed to make you want to move while still being an easily digestible tune. Give this one a play during your next workout or when you need to get your friends dancing, you won’t be disappointed!
Dear Fear – Kota the Friend
Up-and-coming rapper, Kota the Friend, has had a slew of really awesome releases over the last year including two albums in 2021. His first release of 2022 is a great one. On “Dear Fear,” Kota lays down his laid-back, deep flow that will make you contemplate life and fear.
Chitty Bang – Leikeli47
You’ve probably heard Leikeli47’s breakout track “Money,” that was released back in 2017. She is back with her confident sound that makes her standout in modern rap. Her new song “Chitty Bang,” doesn’t pull any punches with its hard style beat and Leikeli47’s signature style of rapping.
Feel So Right – Sebb Junior & Sammy Deuce
We love house music around here, especially when it is approachable enough to listen to at any time. Sebb Junior has that style of house down, with “Feel So Right” fitting the mold. If you like this one definitely check out more Sebb!
Hate To Say It – Azizi Gibson & Freddie Gibbs
Freddie Gibbs has been on a tear of releases during the pandemic and we’re not complaining. This track has a different pace then Freddie’s usual tracks, thanks to collab with Azizi Gibson. Once Freddie starts rapping it’s the same flow we know and love. We welcome and enjoy all new music from the great Gangsta Gibbs.
The Inspector – Guille Placencia
We love a good club track with some nostalgic vibes to it, “The Inspector,” is exactly that, throwing it back to the days of Inspector Gadget. This one starts off with a super clean beat and picks up into something ultra fun.
Other Men – Crystal Murray & Le Diouck
This track has a special sound, the crisp and unique vocals that grab your attention immediately with a calming bass line to match. Crystal Murray is a 20 year old Parisian who has shown that she has a very promising career ahead of her. We look forward to hearing more of her music in the future.
Escalator (Mark Farina & Homero Espinosa Deep Mix) – BoomBox
Boombox is a truly groovy jam band that is known for their fun and dancy live performances as well as their ultra vibey releases. Mark Farina and Homero Espinosa took the original “Escalator” and made it into one of those juicy deep house tracks that you just want to get lost in. Bust this one out on your next bike ride or long drive!
in my eyes – Jadu Jadu & TAMBALA
Talk about feel good music, this is the perfect example of that. It’s calming yet engaging, with the different sounds and mysterious vocals. If you enjoyed this track I recommend you check out the artist/DJ HNNY for similar style music.
Album Dawn FM – The Weeknd
It’s not often that we receive an album of the year nominee on the first release day of the year, but alas The Weeknd is a giver. The pop superstar’s new album Dawn FM is an amazing album that retains a lot of the nostalgic, funked up beats that we’ve heard from him recently. With some amazing features and The Weeknd’s incredible songwriting skills, this album is definitely worth a full listen through. Some of our favorites from it include “Sacrifice,” “I Heard You’re Married (ft. Lil Wayne),” & “Out Of Time.”
Album Rose Pink Cadillac – DOPE LEMON
We’ve been following indie rock/soul artist, DOPE LEMON, for a while now and were extremely excited for the release of his new album Rose Pink Cadillac. DOPE LEMON has a sound that will transport you back to the 60s/70s with his light guitar riffing, soft voice, and groovy basslines. Some of our favorite tracks from the album include “Howl With Me,” “Rose Pink Cadillac,” & “Every Day Is A Holiday.”
Album DS4EVER – Gunna
Rapper Gunna has been steadily growing over the last years making him one of the preeminent modern rappers. His highly anticipated new album, DS4EVER, is a really great piece of music that features many other modern rap stars. Some of our favorite tracks include “pushin P (ft. Young Thug),” “thought i was playing (ft. 21 Savage),” & “25k jacket (ft. Lil Baby).”
